Pyrrosia congregata Rondani, 1861

ORIGINAL DESCRIPTION: 1861e: 63 (key), 65 (description).

TYPE LOCALITY: “ in collibus agri parmensis [ Parmese hills ( Italy)]” .

TYPE MATERIAL: 1 ♀, syntype (missing fore-, mid- and right hind-legs) ( MZUF: Box 15): Pyrrosia Rnd. / congregata Rnd. / 798.

CURRENT STATUS: doubtful species of Solieria Robineau-Desvoidy, 1848 ( Herting & Dely-Draskovits 1993: 344).

REMARKS: Rondani (1861e: 65) described Pyrrosia congregata from just the female sex, without specifying the exact number of specimens, but giving a single measurement of length: “ Foeminam tantum legi [I collected the female only]”. Herting (1969: 193) reported one female in the MZUF. We found one syntype in this study.
