ORIGINAL DESCRIPTION: 1865c: 224.

TYPE LOCALITY: “ in agro Panormitano [ Palermo’s territory ( Italy)]” .

TYPE MATERIAL: 2 ♂♂, syntypes (one missing fore- and right hind-legs, the other missing head, abdomen and all legs except right fore- and mid-legs) ( MZUF: Box 18): Phasia Mgn / leucoptera Rnd., Sicil. [= Sicily] / 950.

CURRENT STATUS: valid species, as Ectophasia leucoptera ( Herting & Dely-Draskovits 1993: 402, Pape et al. 1995: 30, Cerretti 2010: 501, O’Hara et al. 2020: 571).

REMARKS: Rondani (1865c: 224) described Phasia leucoptera from three males: “ Tria specimina mascula possideo, dono Dom. Mina [sic!] -Palumbo [I have three male specimens, gift of Mr. Minà-Palumbo]”. We found only two of the three males of the type series .
