ORIGINAL DESCRIPTION: 1862d: 60.

TYPE LOCALITY: “ ignotae originis [origin unknown]”.

TYPE MATERIAL: 1 ♂, holotype ( MZUF: Box 18): Omalostoma Rnd. / fortis ? v. robusta Rnd. , ♂ / 970.

CURRENT STATUS: junior synonym of Billaea fortis Rondani, 1862 ( Herting & Dely-Draskovits 1993: 358).

REMARKS: Rondani (1862d: 60) described Omalostoma robusta from a single male: “ exemplar possideo masculum [I have a male specimen]”. Herting (1969: 200) reported a single male in the MZUF.
