Tryptocera aristalis Rondani, 1865 View in CoL
ORIGINAL DESCRIPTION: 1865c: 194.
TYPE LOCALITY: “ Prope Parmam [near Parma (Italy)]”.
TYPE MATERIAL: 1 ♂, syntype (dirty, missing right fore-leg), 1 ♀, syntype ( MZUF: Box 9): Triptocera [sic!] Macqrt. / aristalis Rnd., Appen. [= Apennines] / 437 .
CURRENT STATUS: junior synonym of Actia infantula ( Zetterstedt, 1844) ( Herting & Dely-Draskovits 1993: 329, Andersen 1996: 64).
REMARKS: Rondani (1865c: 194) described Tryptocera aristalis without specifying the number, the sex or the length of the specimens under the generic name “ Tryptocera ”, which is an “incorrect subsequent spelling of Thryptocera Macquart, 1834 or subsequent usage of Tryptocera Macquart, 1834 ” ( O’Hara et al. 2011: 186). We found two syntypes in this study.
