ORIGINAL DESCRIPTION: 1859b: 97 (key), 98 (description).

TYPE LOCALITY: “ in collibus ditionis parmensis [ Parmese hills ( Italy)]” .

TYPE MATERIAL: 1 ♀, holotype (missing left mid-leg) ( MZUF: Box 11): Chetina Rnd. / soror Rnd. / 553.

CURRENT STATUS: junior synonym of Paratryphera palpalis (Rondani, 1859) ( Herting & Dely-Draskovits 1993: 176) .

REMARKS: Rondani (1859b: 98) described Chetina soror from a single female: “ unico exemplare foemineo statuta [described on a single female specimen]” with the same number as that of Chetina palpalis Rondani, 1859 .
