Limosina simplicimana Rondani, 1880 View in CoL

ORIGINAL DESCRIPTION: 1880: 22 (key), 33 (description).

TYPE LOCALITY: “ in Italia praesertim centrale [ Italy, above all central Italy]”.

REMARKS: Rondani (1880: 33) described Limosina simplicimana without specifying either the number or the sex of the specimens and not giving a range of lengths, but presumably from more than one specimen because he reported: “ non raro legitur [found not rarely]”. Roháček (1983: 87) designated a lectotype (♀) and paralectotypes (1 ♂, 2 ♀♀), but did not mention an additional three females: two in the MZUF and one in the OUMNH (all are paralectotypes).
