REMARKS: Rondani (1880: 36) described Limosina puerula without specifying either the number or the sex of the specimens, but giving a single measurement of length: “ Nondum in Italia lecta : specimina observavi a Clar. Kowartz a Bohemia missa , et unum germanicum a Clar. De Roder [Not yet collected in Italy: I observed specimens sent by Mr. Kowartz from Bohemia, and one from Germany by Mr. von Roder]”. Roháček (1983: 96) designated a lectotype (♀) and paralectotypes (2 ♂♂) but did not mention an additional two specimens in the MZUF (both of these additional specimens are paralectotypes). Roháček considered as a paralectotype one specimen labeled Bozen (formerly the Austro-Hungarian Empire, now Italy).
