TYPE LOCALITY: “ in montuosis Pedemontii [Piedmont ( Italy) mountains]” .
TYPE MATERIAL: not found in this study.
CURRENT STATUS: junior synonym of Phaonia errans ( Meigen, 1826) View in CoL ( Pont 1986b: 121, Gorodkov et al. 1995: 12).
REMARKS: Rondani (1871a: 322) described Yetodesia manicata , without specifying the number, the sex or the length of the specimens, from material received from L. Bellardi. We could not locate any type specimens of this nominal species during our study.
