CURRENT STATUS: junior synonym of Dasyphora albofasciata (Macquart in Webb & Berthelot, 1839) ( Pont 1986b: 105, Gorodkov et al. 1995: 12).

REMARKS: Rondani (1862d: 207) described Dasiphora saltuum , without specifying either the number or the length of the specimens but providing specific characters for the male, from material he had collected and also received from D’Arco and A. Costa. We found 11 syntypes in this study. This nominal species was described under the generic name Dasiphora , which is an “unjustified emendation of Dasyphora Robineau-Desvoidy, 1830 ” ( O’Hara et al. 2011: 71).
