Richardiidae View in CoL View at ENA
This family of predominantly Neotropical acalyptrate flies contains 177 species ( Marshall 2012, Evenhuis & Pape 2020). Rondani (1848b) described two species from South America, considered as valid, in the genus Richardia ( Steyskal 1968c) . The type material of Richardia unifasciata has presumably been lost; the holotype of Richardia laterina is in the MZUN.
