REMARKS: Zetterstedt (1845: 1323) replaced Lucilia violacea Macquart, 1834 (a Muscidae not a Calliphoridae ) with Pyrellia cyanicolor . Rondani (1850c: 178) stated that Zetterstedt correctly changed the name Lucilia violacea Macquart to Pyrellia cyanicolor . O’Hara et al. (2011: 208) considered Lucilia cyanicolor Rondani, 1850 as an available name. Mac-Lean & González (2006: 18) listed it as an available name, junior synonym of Cochliomyia macellaria ( Fabricius, 1775) .
