ORIGINAL DESCRIPTION: 1875a: 259 (key), 260 (description).
TYPE LOCALITY: “ in ditione parmensi [ Parmese territory ( Italy)]” .
TYPE MATERIAL: 1 ♀, lectotype ( MZUF: Box 34): Ochtiphila Fall. / frontella Rnd. / 1805 / Holotypus ♀? Euestelia frontella (Rondani) , det. G. Morge, Ex. 10 (in litteris).
CURRENT STATUS: unplaced species of Parochthiphila ( Tanasijtshuk 1984: 222) View in CoL ; valid species, as Parochthiphila frontella View in CoL ( Nartshuk et al. 1995: 7, Raspi 2006: 249).
REMARKS: Rondani (1875a: 260) described Ochtiphila frontella without specifying the number , the sex or the length of the specimens. Raspi (2006: 249) designated a lectotype (♀).
