ORIGINAL DESCRIPTION: 1840b: 25.
TYPE LOCALITY: “ in collibus parmen [sis] [ Parmese hills ( Italy)]” .
TYPE MATERIAL: 2 specimens, syntypes (sex not determinable; one missing all but part of its abdomen mostly covered with mold, the other glued to a cardboard stage, missing head and thorax, abdomen mostly covered with mold) ( MZUF: Box 65): Mimosciara Rnd. / molobrina Rnd. / 3314; 2 ♂ ♂, 1 ♀, syntypes (pinned on a stout, big-headed steel pin, which has partially destroyed the specimens) ( OUMNH Verrall-Collin Coll.: Box. 21): Y. molobrina Zygoneura Italia Rondani; 1 ♀, syntype (glued to cardboard) ( OUMNH Verrall-Collin Coll.: Box. 21): Y. molobrina Zygoneura Italia, Rondani.
CURRENT STATUS: junior synonym of Catocha latipes Haliday, 1833 View in CoL ( Skuhravá 1986: 75, Dahl et al. 1995: 25, Gagné 2010: 25, Gagné & Jaschhof 2017: 34).
REMARKS: Rondani (1840b: 25) described Mimosciara molobrina without specifying the number of the specimens, providing specific characters for the male and female, but giving a single measurement of length, but had more than one specimen because he collected frequently: “ Sepe [sic!], legi... [often, I collected …]”. Six syntypes were found in this study.
