ORIGINAL DESCRIPTION: 1871a: 326.
TYPE LOCALITY: “ In Pedemontio [Piedmont ( Italy)]” .
TYPE MATERIAL: 1 ♀, syntype ( MRSN): 354 / Anthomyia figulina Rond. , ♀ .
CURRENT STATUS: doubtful species of Pegomya Robineau-Desvoidy, 1830 View in CoL ( Dely-Draskovits 1993: 89).
REMARKS: Rondani (1871a: 326) described Anthomyia figulina , without specifying the number , the sex or the length of the specimens, from material received from L. Bellardi. Hennig (1974a: 681) correctly reported not finding the type in the MZUF. We found one syntype in the MRSN.
