Myanmar: thin-paung. English: tropical fanleaf, tropical rose mallow.

Range.

Tropical and subtropical regions of Old World. In Myanmar, found in Yangon.

Uses.

Fruit: Used as stomachic and emollient.

Note.

Antiviral activity has been detected utilizing an extract of the plant ( Vijyan et al. 2004).
