Fronto–orbital plate and parafacial width, with silver pollinosity, gena brown. Parafacial bare. Scape dark–brown, 2 setae. Pedicel dark with dorsal short setae. Postpedicel with golden pollinosity, 1.5 times the length of pedicel. Arista dark with some part yellowish, very short pubescence. Palpus dark, spatulate.

Fore tibia with 1 pre–apical d; 1 pd and 1 v. Mid femur constricted on ventral preapical surface; 1 series of ad; short and right av on apical third; pv surface setulose with series of long pv, on apical third with short setae; 1 series of long p, setae on apical third more developed. Mid tibia constricted weakly on basal mid v surface; 1 mid a and 1 apical; 1 apical av; 1 pre–apical d, 1 v. Hind coxa bare on posterior margin. Hind femur with weakly protuberance on apical half, without tuft of setae, just 6 av more differentiated on apical third ( Fig. 3F View FIGURE 3 ); 1 series of ad towards to d surface; apical third on p surface bare. Hind tibia with 1 median d and 1 pre–apical d; 2 av, 1 mid ad ( Fig. 3F View FIGURE 3 ).

Biology. Label information indicates that this species occurs above 4000 m in the Andes. Nothing else is known about its habits or biology.

Etymology. Name in apposition. The species epithet refers to the Humahuaca indigenous people (also known as Omaguaca) that once inhabited the Andean highlands in northwestern Argentina, in the province of Jujuy.

Type material. Holotype male (DZUP). ARGENTINA: Jujuy / El Quemado. Ruta 52 km 38/S 23.69390°/W 0 65.64913. 4150 m./ 17.i.09 / L.R.Faria Jr. Leg.

The holotype is not in perfect conditions because it was used in molecular study. It was not macerated, but rather immersed in Proteinase K. The main characters are visible, and the genitalia is in good condition. The voucher code is DG026.

Distribution. Argentina: province of Jujuy (Andean highlands) ( Fig. 8F View FIGURE 8 ).
