TYPE LOCALITY: U.S.A., Oregon, Multnomah Co., lower Columbia River, near lower mouth of Willamette River .
DISTRIBUTION: S.W. British Columbia ( Canada), W. Washington and Oregon to the Rogue River ( U.S.A.).
COMMENT: Formerly included ochrogenys , siskiyou and senex ; see comments under those species.
ISIS NUMBER: 5301410002007017001 as Eutamias townsendii .
