TYPE LOCALITY: U.S.A., Colorado, Fremont Co., Arkansas River, about 26 mi. (42 km) below Canon City .

DISTRIBUTION: Mountains of Colorado and E. Utah south to N.E. Arizona and S. New Mexico ( U.S.A.).

COMMENT: Includes australis from the Organ Mtns., New Mexico; see Patterson, 1980, J. Mammal., 61:455 -464.
