Neoclarkinella Rema and Narendran, 1996 View in CoL : Type species: Apanteles nilamburensis Sumodan and Narendran, 1990:239 –241. By monotypy.

Diagnosis. Head oval shaped with emarginated eyes; antennae longer than body; face punctate with faint medial longitudinal carina; frons and temple punctate and pubescent, clypeus and vertex distinctly or indistinctly punctate; distance from lateral ocelli to edge of eye approximately 0.8–1.2x distance between lateral ocelli; occiput smooth; scutellar lunules triangular, either wide or narrow; lateral sides of scutellum bordered by two deep crenulated furrows; propleuron rugose or punctate; notauli indistinct; lateral pronotum smooth or granulate with anterior crenulation; mesopleuron punctate anteriorly and smooth posteriorly; propodeum with a strong median longitudinal carina and a weak transverse carina basally, remainder of propodeum rugulose; fore wing without areolet; vein r longer than pterostigma and vein m-cu, vein R1 longer than pterostigma, vein 2SR longer than vein r; vannal lobe of hind wing straight or slightly convex and coarsely setose, 2r-m present; T1 parallel sided at basal half, then strongly tapered to a narrow apex, T1 with broad U-shaped depressed area at basal half, T1 with various sculpturing, punctate, rugose or aciculate with hairs at basal one third; T2 triangular or subtriangular with or without lateral elevated area; remaining tergites coarsely punctate and pubescent; hypopygium membranous and striated along medial line; ovipositor sheath 0.6–1.2x as long as hind tibia, pilose throughout.
