Type specimens examined. Holotype: sex unknown ( BPBM), LAOS: Pakxong, 16. V. 65 (handwriting on a rectangular white label with black borders in black ink)/ J.A. Rondon, Collection, BISHOP MUS. (printed on a rectangular white label in black ink)/ Eryssamena similis , mihi Typ, Beruning dét. (“ Eryssamena similis , mihi Typ” handwriting in blue ink and “Beruning dét.” printed in black ink on a rectangular white label)/ TYPE (printed on a rectangular red label in black ink)/ Eryssamena similis , n. sp. Breuning, Col. J. A. Rondon Laos (“ Eryssamena similis ” printed in black ink, “n. sp. Breuning” printed in red ink and “Col. J. A. Rondon Laos ” printed in yellow ink on a rectangular white label with yellow borders).

Etymology. The specific epithet refers to its similarity with Rondibilis quadrinotata ( Pic, 1925) . Distribution. Laos (Champasak).

Remarks. This species is similar to Rondibilis quadrinotata ( Pic, 1925) ( Figs 22-24 View FIGURES 19 – 24. 19 – 21 ) in the elytra covered with four black spots, but differs from the latter in the each elytral base with two spots and elytral apex without spots, marginal angles more pointed.
