Chirocentrus dorab (Forsskål in Niebuhr, 1775) — Dorab wolf-herring

STATUS AT MADANG. New record from Madang, based on AMS material (AMS I.16664-004, I.16664-005, I.16664-006).

DISTRIBUTION AND HABITAT. Red Sea and East Africa east to Tonga, north to southern Japan, south to northern Australia and New Caledonia. Schooling inshore, estuaries, 0– 120 m. Transitional water and marine.
