STATUS AT MADANG. New record from Madang, based on specimens collected by W.-J. Chen in Madang Bay. AMS, CAS, NTUM and WAM material (AMS I.17505-003, I.24548-003; CAS 65654, 65655, 65656, 65657, 65658, 65659, 65660; NTUM 10013; WAM P.30624-010).
DISTRIBUTION AND HABITAT. Red Sea, East and South Africa, Madagascar and Mascarenes east to Hawaiian Islands and Pitcairn Group, north to southern Japan and Ogasawara Islands, south to Rowley Shoals (Western Australia) at 17°56'S and Lord Howe Island. Found in shallow lagoon and seaward reefs and on the shelf and upper slope, 0– 650 m. Marine.

DISTRIBUTION AND HABITAT. Philippines north to Taiwan, south to Papua New Guinea. Bathydemersal, 880 m. Marine.

DISTRIBUTION AND HABITAT. Indonesia east to Philippines and Papua New Guinea, north to Taiwan, south to northwestern Australia. Bathydemersal, 395– 685 m. Marine.

DISTRIBUTION AND HABITAT. Vietnam to southern Japan; Papua New Guinea to northern Australia. Bathydemersal, 200– 350 m. Marine.
