Isometopidea Poppius, 1913 View in CoL
Isometopidea lieweni View in CoL nec Poppius, 1913 —Taiwan (Nantou)—Unknown. Note: The Sri Lankan species was reported from Taiwan by Lin & Yang (2004), based on a single female specimen collected by a Malaise trap at Lienhuachih, Nantou County. Our examination of the specimen, on which the Taiwanese record had been based, found that the dorsal color pattern apparently does not correspond to that exhibited by I. lieweni View in CoL ; the holotype, deposited in ZMUF, has the clearly infuscate lateral pronotum, almost entire thoracic pleura, whole clavus and inner corium. Therefore, the identity of I. lieweni View in CoL from Taiwan was based on misidentification; it is now considered to represent an undescribed species, but we refrain from describing it until enough material is available (see discussion under new tribe Sophianini).
