Type Locality: Australia, Queensland, Moreton Bay.
Vernacular Names: Gould's Long-eared Bat.
Distribution: E Queensland, E New South Wales, Victoria, SE South Australia, SW Western Australia; a Tasmanian record appears to be erroneous ( Koopman, 1993).
Conservation: IUCN 2003 and IUCN / SSC Action Plan (2001) – Lower Risk (lc).
Discussion: Koopman (1984 c, 1993, 1994) included bifax and daedalus in this species, but see Parnaby (1987, 2002 a).
