Biantidae View in CoL : Cokendolpher et al. 2019: 339 (identification to family level only).
Material examined. IRAN: Hormozgan Province: 1 female ( RCNS), Siahu, 27°10’N, 55°7’E, 400 m a.s.l., Alireza Zamani leg. February 2018 GoogleMaps .
Distribution. Known only from a single locality in Hormozgan Province, southern Iran.
Comments. The only specimen known ( Figs 1A–C View FIGURES 1 ) was first identified only to the family level by Cokendolpher et al. (2019). Up to the present, the species is still only known from that specimen, a female. Because most of the useful structures for the taxonomy of this group occur on the male, we refrain from naming the species here. There are 31 named species within the genus, all occurring in the Oriental Ecoregion ( China, India, Indonesia, Malaysia, Myanmar, Nepal, Seychelles, Sri Lanka; see Gong et al. [2018] for details of taxa and their distribution).
