5. Atherigona (Atherigona) tibiseta Malloch

Atherigona tibiseta Malloch, 1924: 145 . Holotype male, New South Wales, Australia, in AMS (seen by Pont 1986: 21). Atherigona tibiseta ; Pont, 1986: 21; Pont, 1989: 682.

Diagnosis. Frons yellow, profrons projecting in male ( Pont 1986: Fig. 50); fronto-orbital plate with golden pollinosity; palpus yellow; scutum greyish with three weakly marked brown vittae; postpronotum yellow; male fore tibia with very long posteroventral to ventral setae on apical quarter ( Pont 1986: Fig. 51). Hypopygial prominence with 2 short parallel arms and a small to moderate tubercle between ( Pont 1986: Figs 53, 55, 56); trifoliate process with the stalk short; median piece smooth or weakly emarginated on apical margin in posterior view, depending on the angle ( Pont 1986: Figs 54, 57–59). Female ovipositor long, with tergite 7 weakly sclerotized and sternite 6 narrow ( Pont 1986: Figs 60–62).
