Limnophora efatensis Shinonaga, 2005: 86 View in CoL . Holotype male, 10 km NW of Villa, Éfaté , Vanuatu, in NSMT.
Diagnosis. Frons broad, parallel-sided, the eyes separated by about 1/3 of head width; dorsocentrals 2+3; scutum dark brown with a light grey band in front of suture, only narrowly interrupted, and with white dust on prescutellar area; legs black; abdomen grey pollinose, syntergite 1+2 dark brown, tergites 3–5 each with a large subtriangular undusted mark that is not divided by a median longitudinal dusted stripe.
Material examined. No material seen.
Comments. The species is endemic to Vanuatu and is known only from the holotype from Éfaté collected 8–11.ii.1978 by S. Shinonaga .
