Diagnosis. Palpus brown; scutum wholly yellow, without dark vittae; pleura yellow; anepimeral setae black and yellow; scutellum bare on lateral and ventral surfaces; dorsocentrals 2+4; wing clear; fore tibia without submedian posterior seta; hind femur without posteroventral setae; abdomen uniformly grey or whitish-grey dusted. Male sternite 5 and terminalia as in Figs 72, 75 and 78 of Pont (1969a).

Comments. Pont (1969a) redescribed the species and provided the first records from Vanuatu (as New Hebrides), based on material in the BMNH collection.
