Daidalotarsonemus cornutus Lin, Chen & Zhang, 1998

Daidalotarsonemus cornutus Lin et al., 1998: 139 ; Lin & Zhang, 2002: 58.

Diagnosis. Female: Gnathosoma : Palpal length about 1/4 length of gnathosoma. Dorsum: Coarse ornamentation on prodorsum. Tergite C with three transverse rows of cells, grouped between setae c1, and coarse ornamentation laterally. Tergite D with two transverse rows of cells grouped between setae d. Setae v1, sc2, c1, c2 and h unmodified in shape. Setae v1 as long as sc2 (~ 25). Setae c1 shorter than c2 (~ 16 and ~ 18, respectively), both longer than h (~ 10). Setae c1 inserted near midlength of tergite C. Setae d, e and f leaf-shaped. Setae d and f identical in shape (linear with two lateral veins), length (~ 28) and width (~ 5). Setae e linear-lanceolate in shape, shorter than d and f, but as long as h (~ 10). Setae f ~10 distant from each other, on rounded tubercles. Venter: Tegula truncate, slightly arched posteriorly. All apodemes distinct. Apodemes 2 not fused to prosternal apodeme. Poststernal apodeme bifurcated anteriorly. Legs: sensory cluster of tibiotarsus I complete. Seta tc” of tarsus II slender. Male & larva: unknown.

Type material deposition: holotype ♀ and three paratypes ♀ deposited at FAAS (not studied) .

Locality: Dehua, Fujian Province, China; Zhangpin, Fujian Province, China ( Lin et al. 1998).
