Sphaeronemoura songshana: Yang & Li, 2018 View in CoL . Species Catalogue of China. Vol. 2. Animals, Insecta View in CoL (III), Plecoptera View in CoL , 18. Type locality: China, Beijing Province (Yanqing, Songshan)
Material examined: 1♂, China, Hebei Province, Xiaowutai Mountain , 1300 m, 2005-VIII-22, leg. Xiao Chun-Xia, Liu Jing-Xian ( ICYZU) .
Distribution: China (Beijing, Hebei).
Adult habitus: Head and pronotum as Fig. 4 View FIGURE 4 . Male body length 8.0 mm, forewing length 9.0 mm, hindwing length 7.5 mm. Tergum 8 posteromedially expanded and forming a wide and long hood reaching over ½ of tergum 10. Tergum 9 concaving sharply at median part posterior margin. Paraprocts divided into 3 lobes, inner lobe simple; median lobe broad at base and then branched into two portions, inner portion plump, slightly sclerotized, a little longer than inner lobe of epiproct, outer portion membranous and gently projected posteriorly to flat blunt projection; outer lobe linearly and darkly sclerotized ( Fig. 3 View FIGURE 3 ). Epiproct with flagellum 2.5X length, grooved dorsomedially, apex of the flagellum arcuate; dorsal sclerite with a notch at the tapering tip, base of dorsal sclerite slightly sclerotized; ventral sclerite wider than dorsal sclerite, about ⅔ length of dorsal sclerite, with a notch median of apex, bearing several setae sporadically ventrolaterally ( Figs. 3 View FIGURE 3 , 5 View FIGURE 5 , 6 View FIGURE 6 ).
Remarks: Our single male from Hebei Province is slightly different from specimens taken from the Beijing area. The wide hood of posterior margin of tergum 8 appears distorted and the shape outer lobe of paraprocts appears different. At present, we consider these differences as intraspecific variability. Additionally, several females (5♀♀, China, Hebei Province, Xiaowutai Mountain, 1300 m, 2005-VIII-22, leg. Xiao Chun-Xia, Liu Jing-Xian) collected with our single male are different from the female of S. songshana from Beijing ( Fig. 7 View FIGURE 7 ). These females are not considered conspecific since not all the females of Sphaeronemoura are known, and left as unidentified.
