Etymology: dedicated to Johann H. F. Link (1767- 1851), author of the basionym.
Note: the genus Chaeturus Link [1799] is illegitimate because of the previous homonym Chaiturus (= Chaeturus) Willd. [ 1787] (Lamiaceae).
