Distribution in Iran. West Azarbaijan ( Samin et al. 2011 as Phloeophthorus rhododactylus ).
General distribution. Central and Southern Europe, North Africa, Turkey.
Biology. The species usually breeds in legumes in the tribe Genisteae (e.g. Cytisus , Genista , Sarothamnus , Ulex ) ( Pfeffer 1972; Wood & Bright 1992), but has also been recorded from Ficus carica by Selmi (1987). Recorded in Iran from Ficus carica (Moraceae) ( Samin et al. 2011). Waloff (1968) reviews the biology and population dynamics of the species on Scotch broom ( Cytisus scoparius ).
