Filaments endogloeic, in the mucilage of benthic colonial cyanobacteria, solitary, up to 220 μm long, gradually tapering towards the ends, up to 15 μm wide at the base, 7.5–9.0 μm wide in the middle, not or slightly constricted at the cross walls. Sheath fine, hyaline, colourless. Vegetative cells 0.2–0.5 × shorter than broad, 2.2–6.0 μm long × 7.5–14.5 μm broad, pale blue-green in colour; terminal cells conically rounded. Heterocytes basal, hemispherical, 7.3–11.0 μm long × 10.3–17.5 μm wide. Akinetes not observed.

Specimens observed:—Little Yabba Ck, Maleny Kenilworth Rd Crossing.

Observations:—Growing within the mucilage of Cylindrospermum stagnale colonies attached to granitic rocks in small coastal streams.
