According to Aponte & McMurtry (1995), dorsal shield of female smooth to lightly reticulate, 408 long and 390 wide. Setal lengths: j1 16, j4 3, j5 3, j6 3, J2 4, J5 4, z2 3, z5 3, Z1 4, Z4 3, Z5 109, s4 94, S2 4, S4 4, S5 4, r3 4 and

R1 4–5. Peritreme extending to level between j3 and z2. Sternal shield 51 long and 77 wide. Ventrianal shield 140 long and 143 wide. With two pairs of metapodal plates. Spermathecal calyx cone-shaped, 5 long; atrium indistinct, as a small depression at juncture between calyx and major duct, the latter well sclerotised in this region, rendering a funnel-shaped aspect to the calyx. Macrosetae on legs I–IV, blunt to spatulate, except SgeI and SgeII, sharp-tipped; SgeI 52, SgeII 32, SgeIII 50, SgeIV 94, StiIII 32, StiIV 56 and StIV 37.

Distribution in Brazil. Amazonas (Fereira et al., 2018), Minas Gerais ( Denmark & Muma, 1973), Rio Grande do Sul ( Denmark & Muma, 1973), São Paulo ( Ehara, 1966a; Denmark & Muma, 1973) and Tocantins ( Cruz et al., 2012; Cañarte et al., 2020).

Distribution elsewhere. Colombia, Cuba, Dominican Republic, Mexico, Puerto Rico, Trinidad and USA.

Remark. Brazilian specimens were not examined.
