Subtribe Proprioseiopsina
Main distinguishing characteristics. Usually brownish to reddish. Idiosomal shields usually more strongly sclerotised and proportionally more extensive than in Amblyseiina (but usually less so than in Arrenoseiina ), with sternal and ventrianal shields usually wider than long. Seta J2 absent and j5 present. Ectal strip often present.
