Dorsal shield of female mostly smooth, with scant anterolateral striae, 342 (336–352) long and 217 (195–235) wide. Setal lengths: j1 21 (19–23), j3 29 (27–31), j4 5 (5–6), j5 5 (5–6), j6 6 (6–8), J5 9 (8–10), z2 14 (12–15), z4 11 (10–12), z5 5 (4–5), Z1 8 (6–9), Z4 71 (64–81), Z5 97 (84–107), s4 55 (49–63), S2 9 (8–11), S4 9 (7–10), S5 10 (10–11), r3 14 (12–16) and R1 10 (10–11). Peritreme extending to level of j1. Distances between st1–st3 61 (57–67), st2–st2 65 (63–66), st5–st5 69 (65–71). Ventrianal shield 108 (102–113) long, 95 (92–99) wide at level of Zv2 and 78 (71–85) at anus level. Spermathecal calyx cup-shaped, 6 (5–7) long; atrium bifurcate at the juncture with major duct. Fixed cheliceral digit 29 (27–31) long, with eight teeth; movable digit 33 (31–33) long, with 1–2 teeth. Macrosetae on legs II–IV, sharp-tipped; SgeII 23 (19–27), SgeIII 24 (23–24), SgeIV 44 (38–50), StiIII 19 (18–20), StiIV 29 (26–31) and StIV 57 (55–59) .

Alagoas ( Silva et al., 2016), Bahia ( Denmark & Muma, 1973; Argolo et al., 2017), Distrito Federal ( Duarte et al., 2021), Maranhão ( Moraes et al., 1993), Mato Grosso do Sul ( Furtado et al., 2014), Paraíba ( Moraes & McMurtry, 1983), Paraná ( Araujo et al., 2022a), Pernambuco ( Moraes & Oliveira, 1982), Piauí ( Moraes et al., 1993), Rondônia ( Nuvoloni et al., 2015b), São Paulo ( Flechtmann, 1967d; Denmark & Muma, 1973; Lofego et al., 2009; Castro & Moraes, 2010; Rezende & Lofego, 2012; Moraes et al., 2013) and Tocantins ( Azevedo et al., 2020).

Remarks. The measurements of the specimens examined are similar to those of the redescription of P. mexicanus by Moraes & McMurtry (1983).
