According to Mineiro et al. (2012), dorsal shield of female smooth, 339 (310–360) long and 240 (227–265) wide. Setal lengths: j1 32 (28–35), j3 7, j4 3, j5 3, j6 3, J2 5, J5 5, z2 3, z4 3, z5 3, Z1 5, Z4 224 (207–238), Z5 410 (393–438), s4 200 (178–213), S2 11 (10–12), S4 11 (10–12), S5 11 (10–12), r3 6 (5–7) and R1 6 (5–7). Peritreme extending to level of j1. Distances between st1–st3 68 (66–70), st2–st2 76 (73–80), st5–st5 78 (73–80). Ventrianal shield 108 (100–115) long, 99 (88–108) wide at level of Zv2 and 90 (85–95) wide at anus level. Pre-anal pore of each side posterolaterad the closest Jv2; seta Zv3 absent. Spermathecal calyx saccular, 19 (15–22) long; atrium c-shaped. Fixed cheliceral digit 40 long, with 12 teeth; movable digit 38 long, with three teeth. Macrosetae of legs I–IV, sharp-tipped; SgeI 64 (61–68), SgeII 43 (39–48), SgeIII 93 (85–100), SgeIV 221 (210–233), StiIII 66 (63–70), StiIV 198 (183–208) and StIV 130 (117–140) .

Distribution in Brazil. São Paulo ( Mineiro et al., 2012).

Distribution elsewhere. Not reported.

Remarks. Species described from Brazil and known only from the type specimens. The absence of Zv3 and the posterolateral position of each pre-anal pore in relation to the insertion of Jv2, observed in this species, are unusual features in Amblyseius .
