Specimens measured. SP (2, paratypes).

Dorsal shield of female reticulate, 282–310 long and 212–217 wide. Setal lengths: j1 11–14, j3 17–23, j4 5–6, j5 7, j6 5–6, J2 5–6, J5 8–11, z2 11–14, z4 11, z5 5–7, Z1 7–12, Z4 39, Z5 48–54, s4 25 –28, S2 20 –23, S4 14 –17, S5 14 –17, r3 11–14 and R1 17–20. Peritreme extending to level of j1. Distances between st1–st3 42, st2–st2 54, st5–st5 71–76. Ventrianal shield 93 long, 124 wide at level of Zv2 and 110 wide at anus level. Seta Zv3 absent. Spermathecal calyx saccular, 17–20 long; atrium bifurcate at juncture with major duct. Fixed cheliceral digit 22–29 long, with nine teeth; movable digit 27–32 long, with two teeth. Short macrosetae only on basitarsus IV, sharp-tipped, 20 long .

Distribution in Brazil. São Paulo ( El-Banhawy, 1978).

Distribution elsewhere. Not reported.

Remarks. Species described from Brazil and known only from the type specimens. Our measurements of two paratypes are about 1.2 times shorter than reported in the original description, but similar to those of the redescription by Denmark (1988). In addition, although leg macrosetae are mentioned as absent in the original description, Denmark (1988) presented the measurement of StIV, which is similar to that reported in this publication.
