Specimens measured. PE, RJ, SP (1, 2, 1).
Dorsal shield of female smooth, 378 (365–387) long and 228 (225–235) wide. Setal lengths: j1 20 (18–22), j3 23 (21–25), j4 8 (7–10), j5 7 (6–7), j6 8 (6–8), J2 10 (10–12), J5 6 (5–7), z2 13 (10–15), z4 10 (9–12), z5 6 (5–7), Z1 10 (9–13), Z4 30 (27–32), Z5 127 (122–142), s4 35 (33–37), S2 12 (11–15), S4 8 (6–10), S5 8 (6–10), r3 11 (10–12) and R1 10. Peritreme extending to level of j1. Distances between st1–st3 50 (47–52), st2–st2 73 (70–90), st5–st5 80 (79–82). Ventrianal shield 96 (92–100) long, 81 (80–87) wide at level of Zv2 and 77 (75–85) at anus level. Spermathecal calyx cone-shaped, 8 (7–9) long; atrium nodular. Fixed cheliceral digit 25 (22–27) long, with nine teeth; movable digit 28 (27–30) long, with three teeth. Macrosetae of legs I–IV, sharp-tipped; SgeI 28 (25–30), SgeII 27 (25–30), SgeIII 35 (30–37), SgeIV 63 (62–65), StiIII 27 (20–30), StiIV 43 (37–50) and StIV 47 (42–55) .
Distribution in Brazil. Bahia ( Souza et al., 2015), Pernambuco ( Barbosa et al., 2021), Rio de Janeiro ( Collier et al., 2004; Cavalcante et al., 2021) and São Paulo ( Denmark & Muma, 1973; Zacarias & Moraes, 2001a; Castro & Moraes, 2010; Moraes et al., 2013).
Distribution elsewhere. Venezuela.
Remarks. Species described from Brazil. The measurements of the specimens examined are similar to those of the original description.
