The wall is calcareous, planispiral, circular in outline, and biumbilicate with narrow and depressed umbilici in peripheral view; the sutures are radial, backward curved; about eight to ten chambers per whorl, enlarging gradually as added; the umbilical region is filled with pustules; the periphery is subrounded and the test surface is smooth.

Occurrence. Dominant and constant species in Guadiana Estuary, predominant at the middle and lower elevations of the marsh; strongly associated with A. aberdoveyensis .
