This genus has just been established to include two species that do not fit well in Sarangesa : T. tricerata (Mabille) and T. compacta (Evans) , the latter newly raised to species status from being a subspecies of T. tricerata ( Larsen & Congdon 2011) . The two species are clearly congeneric, but the genitalia do not fit the pattern of any of the African Celaenorrhinini genera, the longer palpi and a more arcuate antennal club also differentiate it from other Sarangesa , and as described below, the early stages and food plants also separate T. compacta from other Celaenorrhinini genera.
