IA: Marion County, Pella; 5 August 2016, 1330 – 1430 (CDT); S. R. Johnson. Host: Metepeira labyrinthea (Hentz) (Labyrinth orbweaver) ( Araneidae ), adult or penultimate female. The wasp grasped the paralyzed labyrinth orbweaver by the base of its 2 nd or 3 rd left leg with her mandibles and dragged it backwards across the ground

IL: Cook County, Chicago, Hyde Park; 22 June 2017; B. Rubin (betsyrubin). Host: Larinioides cf sclopetarius (Clerck) (Bridge spider) ( Araneidae ), adult or subadult female. The wasp pulled the paralyzed bridge spider up a wall, dorsal side upward, grasping its right forecoxa with her mandibles ( Rubin 2017)
