AL: Lee County, 6 km N of Auburn; 3 August 2015; R. West. Host: Dolomedes albineus Hentz (White-banded fishing spider) ( Pisauridae ), adult female. The wasp examined then dragged the paralyzed fishing spider, dorsal side upward, backwards across leaf litter and small twigs using her mandibles ( West 2015).
GA: Athens-Clarke County; Athens , State Botanical Garden of Georgia Parking Lot; 29 July 2016, 1815 (EDT); L. Dasher. Host: Dolomedes albineus , adult female. The wasp dragged the paralyzed fishing spider backwards, dorsal side upward, grasping its chelicerae with her mandibles. The spider’s legs and pedipalps were spread laterally during transport ( Dasher 2016; L. Dasher, Athens, GA, 2017 pers. comm.) .
KY: Franklin County, Frankfort, Cove Spring Park; 27 September 2017; S. Dean. Host: Dolomedes tenebrosus View in CoL , juvenile female. The wasp walked backwards on the ground dragging an immobilized fishing spider, dorsal side upward, grasping its pedipalp or chelicera with her mandibles ( Dean 2017).
OK: Oklahoma County, Oklahoma City ; 22 August 2018; Stephanie. Host: Hogna sp. (det. M. Hedin), adult or subadult female. The wasp dragged the paralyzed wolf spider on the ground, dorsal side upward, grasping the base of its chelicera with her mandibles ( Stephanie 2018) .
SC: Kershaw County, Elgin; 3 September 2006; R. Lee. Host: Dolomedes albineus , adult or subadult female. A series of photographs shows the wasp dragging the paralyzed fishing spider along the ground in the evening, dorsal side upward, grasping the base of its chelicera with her mandibles ( Lee 2006).
