Pepsis caridei Brèthes View in CoL

ARGENTINA: Corrientes Province, Rincón del Socorro, in the low Iberá wetlands; 3 January 2015; J. de Castro. Host: Eupalaestrus cf weijenberghi (Thorell) (Theraphosidae) (Whitecollared tarantula), adult male. The wasp pulled the paralyzed tarantula backwards on the ground through grass, dorsal side upward, grasping the base of its left pedipalp with her mandibles ( de Castro 2015; N. Ferretti, INBIOSUR, Buenos Aires, Argentina, 2018 pers. comm.).

COLOMBIA: Magdalena, Santa Marta, near Guachaca; 13 January 2018; J. Naranjo (foragido). Host: Ancylometes cf bogotensis (Keyserling) (Ctenidae) , female. The wasp stood near the paralyzed wandering spider, which was dorsal side upward on the ground ( Naranjo 2018a).
