BAHAMAS: Eleuthera Island; 15 April 2013; S. B. Johnson. Host: Cyrtopholis cf bonhotei (F. O. P.-Cambridge) ( Theraphosidae ), adult female. The wasp pulled the paralyzed tarantula backwards on the ground, grasping the base of its left foreleg with her mandibles ( Johnson 2013).
HAITI: Ouest Department, Thomazeau; 17 February 2017; E. Russell (SierraSunrise). Host: Cyrtopholis cf cursor (Ausserer) (Dominican stripeknee tarantula) ( Theraphosidae ), adult or subadult female. The wasp stood by the paralyzed tarantula as it laid on the ground near its burrow, dorsal side upward ( Russell 2017)
US VIRGIN ISLANDS: Saint John Island, Coral Bay; 17 February 2020; P. Offermanns (SUPstjohn). Host: Cyrtopholis cf bartholomei (Latreille) (St. Thomas grey-striped spider) ( Theraphosidae ), adult or subadult female. A short video shows the wasp dragging the paralyzed tarantula backwards on the ground, dorsal side upward, grasping the base of its left pedipalp with her mandibles ( Offermanns 2020).
