Distribution and bionomics. The subspecies H. glabriventris jelineki was described from Crete ( Picka 1984). The nominotypical subspecies is widespread in Western Anatolia in İzmir, Muğla, Isparta, Konya, Antalya, and Mersin provinces ( Nabozhenko & Keskin 2017), and also in Cyprus ( Nabozhenko et al. 2020a). It inhabits coniferous forests of Pinus nigra , Cedrus libani libani , Juniperus excelsa , Abies cilicica in Anatolia and Pinus brutia , Pinus nigra , and Cedrus libani brevifolia Hook F. in Cyprus. We collected this subspecies additionally on Pinus brutia trunks and registered two host lichens (both from the family Parmeliaceae ) in Ibradı: Pseudevernia furfuraceae and Parmelina pastillifera .
