Description.
Adult (Figures 7-8): sides of pronotum on basal half and base covered with dense, imbricate, broad scales; elytra with integument black to brown, interstriae covered with suberect seta-like scales arranged in one regular row; rostrum in lateral view straight, weakly narrowed from base to apex, in dorsal view slightly narrowing from antennal insertion to apex; eyes moderately convex (Caldara, 2008).
