Note. The specimen labelled as BC ZSM Lep 58638 has been used for barcoding. Molecular distance based on the Kimura two-parameter model for COI DNA barcodes between T. naumanni to the nearest species T. helmuti is 5,91%; the distance between T. naumanni and T. burmana is 6,26%.

Diagnosis. Adult ( Figs 13, 14 View FIGURES 9 – 16 ). Wingspan 38–46 mm. Compared with T. burmana and T. plumbea the species differs by biserrate antennae, more elongate and more acute forewing shape, less developed silver-shining suffusion and details of wing pattern, forewing colouration with pale whitish-yellow central part, well defined brownish-grey terminal band and basal area.

Male genitalia ( Fig. 93 View FIGURES 92 – 94 ). Compared with T. burmana and T. plumbea the male genitalia differ by broad valva with parallel margins, short vinculum and shape and arming of vesica, which formed by tree patches of dense small cornuti and setae. Uncus rather broad, short; tegumen broad, equal in length to vinculum, without penicular extensions; vinculum U-shaped; transtilla with relatively narrow branches; juxta shield-like, broad, valva moderate long, with parallel margins, slightly curved having oblique distal margin; bearing a patch of strong setae on the top, harpe moderate long, almost straight, slightly extend distal margin of valva; pointed apically. Aedeagus moderate in length, straight, slightly extended apically; carina short, sclerotised, scobinate; vesica tubular, recurved, with subapical diverticulum, bearing medial and subapical patches of small cornuti.

Female genitalia ( Fig. 123 View FIGURES 118 – 123 ). Compared with related T. burmana and T. plumbea the female genitalia have rather broad antrum, short ductus bursae and ribbed sclerotised cervix bursae. Ovipositor quadrangular, papillae anales moderate broad, quadrangular; antrum triangular, weakly sclerotised; ductus bursae short, membranous; corpus bursae sack-like, with sclerotised patch in joining with ductus bursae.

Distribution and bionomy. Northwest and East China (Provs Shaanxi, Jiangxi, Fujian), North Vietnam. The species occurs in low and meso-montane forest at elevation 1000–1500 m. Moths fly in March, April, May, June, July, September.
