Perrotia paroechus Mabille, 1887 (in Grandidier [1885 –1887])

An ABRI collector reared this species from an unidentified palm at Marhamiiza, near Andasibe, 25 Dec 2002. The emerged pupa in ABRI is brown; flattened frontally; T1 spiracle slightly raised; proboscis 3mm beyond wing cases; shelter lightly covered with white wax. There is no associated final instar caterpillar head capsule .
