Hadronema cinerescens Scudder, 1890: 370 [n. sp.]; Carpenter, 1992: 275 [list].

DISCUSSION: Scudder (1890) described this species from Oligocene deposits of Florissant ( Carpenter, 1992). He stated a probable affinity of the fossil species with the genus Hadronema and pointed out the ‘‘doubtful’’ position within the genus. The outline drawing and deficient description presented by Scudder prevent further conclusions about the identity of this species. The syntypes ( Scudder, 1890) deposited at the Museum of Comparative Zoology at Harvard have not been examined. No other fossil species has been included in Hadronema ( Carpenter, 1992) .
